• Automatic Optical Inspection

Assembly Drawings

• Drawings and instruction of product

BOM

• Bill Of Materials or Parts List  

CAD Data

• File produced by the CAD machine, usually atext file, which lists the X&Y co-ordinates of centers of the components and any rotation.

Conventional Assembly

• Through-hole hand soldered

Final Assembly/Box Build

• The assembly of the final product including casing

Free-issue

• Components or parts supplied to CSM by the customer

Gerber Files

• Files produed by the CAD machine to enable the PCB to be manufactured.  Should contain all the details for each layer of the PCB.

ICT

• In-Circuit Test

MDA

• Manufacturing Defect Analysis

RFQ

• Request for Quote

Shim

• Stencil for solder paste printing

Shim Data

• File produced by the CAD machine to enable a shim(stencil) to be manufactured.
