BOM                                         Bill of Materials or Parts List 

CAD Data

• File produced by the CAD machine, usually a text file, which lists the X&Y co-ordinates of centres of the components and any rotation.

Conventional Assembly          Through Hole hand soldered 

Final Assembly/Box Build      Assembly of finished product including casings

Free-issue                              Component or parts supplied by the Customer to CSM

Gerber Files

• Files produced by CAD system to enable PCB and internal layers to be manufactured

ICT                                          In Circuit Test

MDA                                        Manufacturing Defect Analysis

RFQ                                         Request for Quotation

Shim                                       Stencil for solder paste printing

Shim Data

• File produced by the CAD machine to enable a shim(stencil) to be manufactured.
