Traceability
Our system for product traceability begins at goods inwards, where all components are counted and each type is identified, labelled and logged onto our MRP system. Free-issue stock and CSM procured stock is separated and a different part numbering system is applied. RoHS compliant stock is identified and differentiated using a colour coding system.
Every new customer is given their own unique identification number. Stock purchased for customers is segregated in stores ready to be allocated to their kits. Customer Free Issue materials are also stored in a separate area and any kit shortfalls are advised to the customer prior to release to the shop floor.
Any excess kit after the production run is counted back into stores, this stock will be held by CSM for the next production run or can be returned to the customer upon request if it was free issued.
CSM Electronics offers bar code and alpha/numerical serial labelling as an additional service for tracking and tracing printed circuit boards or sub assemblies.
